News has just filtered in that Trim Celtic have been drawn against St Kevin’s (Dublin) in the last 16 of the Leinster Junior Cup.

The game will be played in Trim on a date that has yet to be determined.

All of the staff at the James Griffin Pub would like to wish Trim Celtic the very best of luck and we hope to see them arrive in at the end of the campaign with a cup for us to fill!

Trim will be hosting a spectacular extravaganza come Easter Weekend (7th – 9th of April 2012) when the Trim Hot Air Balloon Festival lands in town and you will be treated to a vast number of hot air balloons of all sizes, shapes colours and faces!!

With the balloons taking off from the Porchfields in the centre of our historic town everybody will have a chance to get up close and take in what is beautiful to witness.  A mass of hot air propelling an ‘air ship’ to the skies.

There will be sideshows and entertainment throughout the entire weekend to keep everybody of all ages entertained and of course we should also mention the most important element of the Fiesta, aside from the balloons, the weekend also serves as a fund raising event for chosen charities.
