At the James Griffin Pub we can offer you the finest of Irish Whiskeys.
“A whiskey is the creation of something harmonious, balanced and fundamentally social…It brings together the mastery of the distilling process with the mystery of its humble ingredients. It is the indefinable nature that makes a Premium Whiskey far more than the sum of its parts.”
JAMESON IRISH WHISKEY – Exceptionally smooth with sweet wood and nutty notes
CRESTED TEN IRISH WHISKEY – Full bodied with soft delicate sherry undertones, toasted wood, perfectly balanced with fruit, spice and some chocolate notes
JAMESON 12 YEAR RESERVE – Significant sherry richness leading to a nutty flavour with mild woody undertones from the years spent in the cask
JAMESON GOLD RESERVE – the waves of vanilla, toasted wood and spices roll through from the pot still whiskey and flame charred barrels, while the special fruity sweetness from the grain remains consistent
JAMESON SELECT RESERVE – Jameson Select Reserve is rich and full, developing into the succulent sweetness of exotic fruits like nectarines, apricots and papayas on the nose.
JAMESON 18 YEAR OLD MASTER SELECTION – The Great notes with a drop of water open up the whiskey to give a complex array of nuts, caramel and oak sweetness.
LOCKE’S IRISH WHISKEY – The nose is full and rich with notes of fruit and barley malt, plenty of oak and a little floral character.
POWERS JOHN LANE RESERVE 12 YEAR OLD – comprised mostly of a robust, heavy pot still spirit and is predominantly aged in ex-Bourbon casks with a little sherry cask ageing.
POWERS SIGNATURE WHISKEY – made from a robust style of single pot still spirit and predominantly matured in refill ex-bourbon barrels. A small proportion of 1st bourbon and sherry casks are also used to balance out the whiskey.
PADDY IRISH WHISKEY – Soft and crisp with a distinct nutty malty and charred wood character
POWERS GOLD LABEL – Full flavoured predominately pot still with honeyed spicy notes
POWERS 12 YEAR SPECIAL RESERVE – The familiar taste of this famous whiskey is enhanced, by long ageing to reveal a spicy complexity and additional velvet smoothness
MIDLETON BARRY CROCKETT LEGACY – The pot still elements used are drawn from light, medium and heavy styles and the spirit is mostly matured in 1st fill bourbon casks with a small amount going into virgin American oak.
MIDLETON DAIR GHAELACH – combination of 15 to 22 year old malts that have been aged in Bourbon casks before being married in the Irish oak cask for another year. The result is a full flavoured whiskey with strong flavours of vanilla, caramel and chocolate.
REDBREAST 12 YEAR OLD – Full flavoured and complex; a harmonious balance of spicy, creamy, fruity, sherry and toasted notes
REDBREAST 15 YEAR OLD – matured in a combination of Spanish Oloroso sherry casks and American Bourbon whiskey barrels.
REDBREAST 21 YEAR OLD – a combination of malted and unmalted barley matured in a mixture of bourbon barrels and first-fill oloroso casks, resulting in a rich and complex whiskey.
GREEN SPOT – Full spicy body. A hint of cloves along with the fruity sweetness of green apples, rounded off with toasted oak
YELLOW SPOT 12 YEAR OLD – Aromas of mown hay, cracked black pepper, nutmeg, clove oil and green tea. Sweet honey and peaches from the Malaga casks. Pot still spices, honey and red apple combine with flavours of creme brulee, fresh coffee and toasted oak.
MIDLETON VERY RARE – A sweet crisp, truly unique taste. A maltiness is first apparent and then the richness of honey, berry fruits and hints of clementines to the fore
